Black figure amphora (Lydos Painter). The destruction of Troy, the death of Priam (seated on Zeus Altar) and Neoptolemos with Astyanax. Menelaus meets Helen. His strong impulse to kill her lasted actually one moment. Helen was wearing her veil, and she looked at him. Another amphora depicts the next moment: the fist opens and the sword falls down... About 550 B.C.
